Here you’ll have time to enjoy your locally crafted and mouth watering Devon Cream Tea hamper with a wonderful selection of fluffy Devon Scone’s, clotted cream, luxury jam and Tea, this will certainly be a picnic to remember!
But the adventure doesn’t end there, we’ll then be trotting up the old drove roads and meandering back down to the little village of North Bovey before reaching an exciting river crossing through the old village Ford!
Our Devon Cream Tea Shire Horse & Carriage Ride offers fantastic photographic opportunities taking in the far reaching views over Dartmoor, so don’t forget your camera.
This is a real treat enjoyed by all and directly supports the Shire horse breed through commercial work in harness which is so vital to the survival of this rare ‘at risk’ breed of working horse.
A ride on our carriage is a truly multi sensory experience allowing you to take in the sights, sounds and feelings of such a traditional mode of transport. Take in the wonderful views, local history and witness a way of working with Heavy horses which remains unchanged for hundreds of years. This really is a great British Heritage experience.
